About the venue‏

Ramat Rachel Hotel is located on the Southern side of Jerusalem, with excellent accessibility to many tourist sites.

If you are in the mood to stay local, go and visit the fascinating archaeology park. The site contains visible traces of 3,000 years of habitation, stretching back to the period of the First Temple and Judean Kingdom. The park is located within a short walking distance from the hotel grounds, and entry is free of charge.

If you wish to take a walk to the most scenic spot in Jerusalem, the Armon Hanatziv Promenade is located a 40 minute walk or 10 minute drive from the hotel. The views of the old city are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Take your camera and enjoy!

If you want to go shopping or enjoy some great authentic eateries, the Talpiot Industrial Zone offers two malls with moderately priced eateries. The most popular restaurant in Talpiot for genuine Israeli cuisine (meat) is Tzidkiyahu with endless free salad and side dish refills. For more great restaurant chains, to fit a number of tastes and pockets, go to the Talpiot Hadar Mall. The mall is half an hour walk or a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

Another relatively new Jerusalem cultural landmark, which is a 15 minute drive from the hotel, is the First Jerusalem Railway Station. Dating from 1892, the site served as a railway station for over a century and has now been transformed into a cultural and recreational hub with boutique stores and stalls, a large selection of high quality restaurants, as well as a place for cultural events and exhibitions. Frequent buses go there from Derech Chevron Street.

It goes without saying that the most famous sites of Jerusalem, the Old City and Ben Yehuda Street, as well as Machane Yehuda market are a short driving distance too. Enjoy your stay!
