Ashkelon is a city in southern Israel on the Mediterranean coast. Located 55 km south of Tel Aviv, it is easily accessible by car, bus, and train.

The journey from Tel Aviv takes roughly 40 minutes (via Highway 4), 45 from Ben-Gurion International Airport approximately 45 minutes (via Highway 1 and 4), and from Jerusalem 60 minutes (via Highway 1 and 3).

Ashkelon can also be reached by public transportation. From Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel’s main gateway, take the train to Tel Aviv from platform 1 (departs every 30 mins). At the first Tel Aviv station (Tel Aviv HaHagana), change to the southbound train to Ashkelon. For the up-to-date information, check the schedules at the Israeli Rail website

From Tel Aviv, take the Binyamina – Ashkelon train (direction: Ashkelon), which stops at all four Tel Aviv stations (University, Savidor – Center, HaShalom, HaHagana) The trains depart up to 3 times an hour, weekdays from 6.10 am to 11.40 pm. Bus 300 (direct) departs every 30 minutes from the Central Bus Station, weekdays from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm.

From Jerusalem, Bus 437 departs every 30-60 minutes, weekdays from 6:00 am to 7:15 pm.  For the up-to-date information, visit the Egged website.

From the Ashkelon Central Bus station, take bus 10, 10א. You can also take 4,5 or 6, but the 10 bus gets much closer. It runs approximately every 20 minutes. https://goo.gl/maps/51d9cRKRiW72

You can also take a 10 minute walk from the Ashkelon Central Bus station. Not recommended in the summer heat!
